Frequently asked questions about learning towers

What age can my child start using a learning tower?

Most of our towers are suggested from 18 months, once your child is steady on their feet and can climb a step with confidence. The ZigZag tower grows with them up to 6 years old. You'll find the suggested age for each tower on its product page.

How high is the standing platform?

It depends on the tower, and most have more than one height. For example, the ZigZag platform sits at 35 or 45 cm, the Wooden Kitchen Helper at 20, 33 or 46 cm, and the STEP UP platform at 45.6 cm with an adjustable step. Exact measurements are on each product page.

Will a learning tower fit in my kitchen?

Most towers stand around 87–90 cm tall, which sits comfortably against a standard kitchen counter. If space is tight, a foldable tower is a great choice. STEP'n'FOLD folds down to just 12 cm thick for storing beside the fridge or in a cupboard.

How much weight can a tower hold?

Each tower has its own limit, listed on its product page. As a guide, the ZigZag holds up to 50 kg, the Wooden Kitchen Helper up to 30 kg, and the MIIMO® step stool is tested up to 100 kg, so grown-ups can use it too.

What are the towers made from?

Our STEP UP, STEP'n'SIT®, STEP'n'FOLD and transformable towers are made from strong birch plywood with a non-toxic, water-based finish. Our wooden kitchen helpers are made from pine or a choice of MDF and birch plywood.

Do I need a safety net?

It's optional, but many parents like one while their child is new to the tower. Our felt Safety Net fits the STEP UP and STEP'n'SIT® towers, and there's a separate Safety Net made for STEP'n'FOLD.

How do I clean my learning tower?

Wipe it with a soft, damp cloth after meals or messy play, then dry it off. Avoid soaking the wood or using harsh cleaners, so the finish stays looking its best.

Can I return a learning tower?

Yes, you can return unused items within 30 days of your order date. Please email hello@brightandgifted.ie with your order number before sending anything back, and see our Refund Policy for full details.
