Frequently asked questions about kids' beds

Does the bed come with a mattress?

It depends on the bed, so check the product page. For example, the Victor bed doesn't include a mattress, the OLIN crib comes with its own, and the Timon floor bed has an optional double-sided mattress.

Which mattress should I choose?

Match the mattress to your bed's sleeping area and check the recommended mattress height on the bed's product page. For example, LUCKY house beds recommend a 12–16 cm mattress. Our Benlemi mattresses come in many sizes, and METROPOLIS alone comes in 17.

Is a slatted base included?

Yes for many of our beds, including the Benlemi LUCKY, PLOTTY and TULY beds and the Kocot Kids Victor and Kubi beds. Check each product page to confirm what's included.

What age are the beds suitable for?

It varies by bed. The OLIN crib suits children from birth to around 5 years, and LUCKY house beds are suitable from 3 years. You'll find the suggested age on each product page.

What colours do the beds come in?

Many of our Benlemi beds come in a choice of finishes. LUCKY house beds, for example, come in Unvarnished, Transparent oil, White, Beige, Pastel pink, Sage green, Light grey and Dark grey. The finishes for each bed are listed on its product page.

Do I need to assemble the bed?

Yes. Beds come with instructions and should be assembled by an adult.

How do I care for a wooden bed?

Wipe the frame with a soft, damp cloth and avoid aggressive cleaners and solvents. Our Benlemi mattresses have removable covers that can be washed at 60°C.
